Get Moving
America is not moving enough. Twenty years ago we moved, on average,
16 - 18% more than today. Our bodies are meant to move. Lack of movement
can lead to all major diseases. Just say, "I'm going to move today!",
and get started.
- Exercise is not an option it is a requirement for a healthy
body.
- You need a pair of tennis shoes.
- You need a determination to get moving.
- Start by walking for 10-20 minutes, daily. Increase the
walk by 5 minutes every week.
- Try not to take two days off in a row - it slows your metabolism.
- Join a gym if you can.
- Hire a trainer who can give you a game plan on nutrition and
a workout program .
- Get yourself organized and find a place in your day to
commit up to 1 hour to exercise.
You deserve it!
- Take the stairs. Park farther away. Think of ways to interlace
activity and movement into you day.
- Buy a pedometer and chart your daily activity.
- Find a buddy to exercise with. Camaraderie can be a strong
motivator.
- Focus on the positive.
