What is massage?

Massage is not a luxury, it is a necessity!

More and more physicians refer their patients to massage treatments as an alternative medicine.

Many of the therapeutic effects of massage, recognized by clinical and personal experience over the years, have been supported by scientific research.

I would like to mention a few benefits, to give you an idea o what an impact massage can have on your life!

  • It enhances general health, like improvement of blood and lymph circulation, supporting the immune system, activating cell turnover, which means healthier skin, and of course it increases relaxation!!
Tension and migraine headaches, high or low blood pressure and stress or depression are some of the diagnostics massage can be beneficial for.
  • It also supports fitness and sports programs.
Massage improves flexibility, relaxation of tight muscles, relieving of tired muscles, and speeds recovery from strenuous physical activities.
  • Therapeutic massage can also help in certain temporary and long term situations which causes unique physical and mental challenges. For example accident recovery, disability, which binds you to a wheelchair, hospital bed, walker or crutches, and cancer?

Isn`t it amazing how powerful touch can be?

I have been a massage practitioner for two years now and see positive changes in my clients every day! What a reward!!!

I apply a Swedish massage, which is a flowing technique, ranging from lighter to deeper pressure, depending on client and treatment. I use hydrotherapy, like hot towels and hot stones for deeper relaxation. Repetitive stretching and range-of-motion is a must during my sessions!

Within the next couple of years I also would like to offer Pregnancy-,Infant-, Sports-, and Cranio-sacral massage just to expand my services to you!

I feel so fortunate to be able to practice such an incredible profession! My mission is to introduce you to an alternative way of medicine and hopefully convince you to agree, that massage really is a necessity!
I look forward to meeting you!
